Ever heard of Pink Floyd? Did you know that this famous rock-n-roll band formed in Cambridge, England? Want to learn more? Then spend a semester in Cambridge. INSTEP will help you get there. INSTEP offers students a semester abroad in the famous city. Visit the University of Cambridge, King's College Chapel, or the Cambridge University Library. The University town is a perfect place for any student to study abroad.
INSTEP students will take seminar courses covering such topics as international relations, business, economics, political economy, geopolitics, history, and English literature. Class sizes will be small with 4 to 12 students in each. Students are encouraged to apply for one of a small selection of internships in applied economic or business research. Internships are a great way for students to integrate themselves into the local community and organizations. During the program students will live in housing complexes provided by INSTEP.

INSTEP Cambridge students will be located near the city center and the various colleges of the University. There are 32 Cambridge colleges, each with its own distinct history and architecture.
Each semester INSTEP students will earn 15 credits taking five seminar courses or three seminars and an internship. The seminar courses focus on a variety of subjects including: English (Shakespeare); Finance; International Economic; Modern British Fiction; Political Economy of China; Global Business Perspective; Money and Banking; Economic Theory: The Cambridge Tradition; and Western Europe and the USA; Geopolitics and International Law; and the Political Economy of the EU. Students who want to participate in an internship will be expected to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week, in addition to taking three seminar courses. Students will find a limited number of internships available in the fields of applied economics or business research. Internships are worth 6 credits. Those students with a GPA slightly below a 3.0 are encouraged to apply. Those students applying to internships should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 with a major in a politics, law, business, or communications/media (or related field) and a major GPA of at least 3.2. Students will need to complete their Application for Admission including an Internship Proposal Form and submit an up to date resume. -

INSTEP Cambridge students will live in self-catered houses conveniently located near the center of Cambridge, the rail and bus stations, and in an area with a large student population. The housing complex also contains the INSTEP Cambridge office.
Ten to twelve students will live in each house, sharing either double or large triple rooms. Single rooms are limited. Each house has its own furnished kitchen, living room with television, and three shower rooms. All linens are provided and are changed weekly.
