Interested in making the ecosystem more sustainable? Environmental issues such as global climate change are so important in today’s world that all students should be 'ecologically literate.' World Learning wants students to take their education to Australia. There are few places on Earth where the environment has had a stronger effect on both the traditional indigenous and contemporary societies than in Australia.
Students will spend most of their time in New South Wales. When not traveling or in their homestays in Lismore, students will stay in apartments in Byron Bay, a small coastal town of 10,000 people. During their time in Australia, students will conduct research focusing on environmental philosophy, including eco-feminism and deep ecology; Aboriginal worldviews; sustainability; national park management and conservation efforts. This is the perfect opportunity to help the environment while living in paradise.
